•An Evening with Edward Enninful    Live in conversation with Michaela Coel, the first Black editor-in-chief of British Vogue traces his astonishing journey into one of the world's most exclusive industries, candidly sharing how, as a Black, gay, working class refugee, he found in fashion not only a home, but the freedom to share with people the world as he saw it. He also shares how, when he took his position at Vogue, few at the heights of the elitist world of fashion wanted to confront how it failed to represent the world we live in. But as a champion of inclusion throughout his life, he rapidly changed that. Now, whether it's putting first responders, octogenarians or civil rights activists on the cover of Vogue, or championing designers and photographers of colour, Enninful has cemented his status as one of the world’s most important change-makers. And he's just getting started. Told in his own words for the very first time, with his signature style, grace, and heart, this is the story of a visionary who changed not only an industry, but how we understand beauty.https://www.southbankcentre.co.uk/whats-on/literature-poetry/evening-edward-enninful?eventId=911522

FILM/TV

Till  (October 2022 in cinemas)  -Till is a profoundly emotional and cinematic film about the true story of Mamie Till Mobley's relentless pursuit of justice for her 14-year-old son, Emmett Till, who, in 1955, was brutally lynched while visiting his cousins in Mississippi. In Mamie's poignant journey of grief turned to action, we see the universal power of a mother's ability to change the world.

Nope from Jordan Peele  (July 22)    In anticipation of its long-awaited release, Jordan Peele has already shared that the mysterious movie is a “great American UFO story”, adding that he wanted it to be considered a “spectacle” that would get us back into movie theatres after a long stretch of being shuttered by the pandemic. Though the trailer doesn't reveal what this film's monster is, in classic Peele style, we do see some of the havoc it brings to the California desert. One scene shows a power outage interrupting Palmer's dance session, before the caption, "from Jordan Peele" literally descends on her house. Kaluuya's horse then gets spooked and runs away, with the actor later asking, "What's a bad miracle?" There are also shots of all the characters, including Steven Yeun's cowboy, looking up at the sky in fear, followed by dust storms engulfing the ranch. In the final shot, as Palmer is fleeing the ranch, she gets sucked into the air.
